Mary Marzec, PhD

Mary Marzec, PhD is the second speaker for our  upcoming conference on Nov 6-7. The presentation is entitled “Creating a Culture of Wellbeing: Swimming, Floating or Sinking?”.


Dr. Marzec is a Sr. Researcher with RedBrick Health. She leads the workplace culture initiative. She has over 12 years’ experience working with employers on population health and employee well-being strategies. Her areas of focus are stress, and leveraging culture to improve engagement in company-sponsored well-being initiatives and health.

Previously at the University of Michigan, Mary led the development of the Workplace Culture of Health survey, which quantifies health-contributing factors in the environment and culture. This is a main component of RedBrick’s Culture Check™. By identifying strengths and opportunities, organizations can leverage cultural factors to more effectively support the health of their populations. Mary has a master’s degree in Biostatistics and a PhD in Kinesiology, both from the University of Michigan. She has received multiple outstanding research awards for outstanding research and is frequently presents at national conferences.
