8:00 pam – 10:00m Meeting, featuring the presentation Millennials in the Workplace by Brett Powell, Vice President, Wellness Consultant (American Institute for Preventive Medicine) and Leila Leonard, Director, Benefits and Wellness (Quicken Loans)

Presentation Objectives

There are more Millennials in the workforce than any other generational cohort. The way in which this generation responds to technology, education, communication, and their own health varies drastically compared to prior generations.  Expecting all generations to respond equally to wellness programs is outdated thinking.  This engaging presentation will highlight the defining characteristics of Millennials, share interesting research and case studies, while sending you home with concrete strategies to better engage millennials in your wellness program. Participants will:

1) Identify three broad based strategies to engage Millennials in existing wellness strategies.

2) Create at least one new initiative using delivery methods that Millennials can relate to.

3) Recall the results of at least two scientific studies where the focus was on generational issues related to wellness programs.

4) Identify specific strategies that Quicken Loans has used to improve its culture and reach Millennials.
