The Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) will host a free networking event on Tuesday, October 4 at UAW Local 155, 7420 Murthum Avenue, Warren, MI 48092 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. All attendees, including current members, will receive free membership (a $50 value) to our LERA chapter for the 2016-2017 program year.
This is the first event of LERA’s 2016 – 2017 program year. At our events, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how LERA provides a unique opportunity for labor and management leaders and HR professionals to share ideas and learn from experts on how to build better workplaces.
On October 20th, we will host, in collaboration with Wayne State University, Mark Price, a leading economist who has done extensive work on wage inequality. On November 10th, we’ll talk about the impact of the election on employers, workers, unions, and what HR and labor relations professionals should know.
Future meetings will feature Mark Pearce, the Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), a “Meet the Arbitrators” night, a panel of Millennials on what they expect in the workplace, and many more cutting edge topics from leaders you will want to meet and hear.
Please send your RSVP to Robert Chiaravalli – firstname.lastname@example.org or call him at 248-681-0777.
